Following the initial response to the August 10 earthquake, SIGLA takes a new step in its commitment to the affected communities, launching together with sanuteam An intervention focused on two essential needs: Child Nutritional Support and Access to Safe Water.
The first action contemplates 1,200 Plumpy’Doz™ sachets, intended to provide nutritional support to approximately 40 children affected by the emergency and in a situation of nutritional risk.
This is the first of several shipments that Sigla will make to the affected territories.
Nutritional support for children at risk
Plumpy’Doz™ is a nutritional supplement developed for children at risk of malnutrition. It provides energy and nutrients as a complement to its diet and helps prevent the deterioration of its nutritional status.
Through Sanuteam, this first shipment will allow to concentrate support in children from communities affected by the earthquake and monitor the intervention.
Access to safe water
acronym has also incorporated a water filtration system Destined for an affected community in Cali.
The team, provided by Live font and distributed by Sanuteam, it will allow to improve the access and water quality of the population served, contributing to better health and living conditions.
Nutrition and water respond to different needs, but equally essential for communities going through the recovery process after the emergency.

These actions give continuity to the commitment assumed by Acuma from the first days after the earthquake: put their capabilities and resources at the service of the specific needs of the affected communities.
